In my own view, I think what has gone in our nation-Nigeria is 'DISCIPLINE, MORAL & VALUE RE-ORIENTATION'. These two elements need more attention. Therefore, for Nigeria to redeem to regain its confidence back, in my own candid opinion, we will need to take a look at our government polity and seek a redress. As for me, if I might be asked at any time to tell the world what I'll do if given the chance to administrate or govern the Nigeria state, I will start by revisiting of total 'War Against any form of Indiscipline-WAI' at all levels. And at the same time, constantly and timely review of all ministries and government agencies' responsibilities, duties and obligations for the citizenry. And enforcing and promoting the Rule of Law, and unbias CHECKS & BALANCES where the constitution of FRN will definitely be the supreme law of the land with absolute respect to the national flag with no exception to any office or position.
Moreover, the present party system will need to be looked into compare to that of (SDP/NRC) two-party system to give chance to equality and balances in our party system. And a certain leadership institution(s) would be introduced to examining all political aspirants/leaders before even dream of emerging as a party flag-bearer/front-runner for competency and leadership potentiality with regards to track records.
Introduction of true federal system of govt and not the way it's presently in which all government units (Local, State, Federal) would be tasked to set up a means of their own polity, ways and means of IGR in a modern electronic montoring system with respect to the size of their state.
To curb it all, all ministries, agencies, and departments would be streamlined to the bearest minimum for avoidance of duty, function and responsibility duplication in a reform and effective way. Judicial independence as a must; executives transparency and accountability by all means; and effective representation by the legislatures.
In my own conclusion: War Against Indiscipline to refertilize our degrading moral values. Respect for the law of the state; AGRICULTURAL enhacement which will creat food surplus and employment for many. Most importantly, SECURITY of lives and properties give the peace of mind while EDUCATION is like a candle that transforms daknnesss to light and all other forms will bring better economic growth, and development would be dertermined by the PEOPLE of the state.
Remember, the state exists for the sake of society, and not society for the sake of the state.
